PLAYWRIGHT: Tim Bauer is a San Francisco playwright. His work for the stage includes the full-length plays Gyroball (Magic Theatre commission), Exit Wounds (Lark Playwright’s Week finalist; PlayLabs semifinalist) and Beyond Words (Aurora Theater Global Age Project finalist); the one-act plays Hot Spot (National 10-Minute Play Contest finalist), Starting Over (National 10-Minute Play Contest finalist), The Magic Word (Sleepwalkers Theatre) and I’ll Be Home For Christmas (Best of PlayGround Festival); and the short play David Mamet’s Green Eggs and Ham (winner of A.C.T.’s David Mamet Writing Contest). He has received full-length play commissions from Magic Theatre and PlayGround, and he has been a two-time finalist for the Humana Festival’s Heideman Award, a finalist for the Lark Playwright’s Festival, a semifinalist for PlayLabs, a semifinalist for the Nicholl Fellowship, and a winner of two PlayGround Emerging Playwright Awards. Tim is a member of the Magic Artists Lab at Magic Theatre, the PlayGround Writers Pool in residence at Berkeley Rep, and the Dramatists Guild. His blog is Direct Address.

For the 2009 Production:

DIRECTOR: Tore Ingersoll-Thorp is the Artistic Director of Sleepwalkers Theatre. He has directed, written and acted in some capacity for every single one of Sleepwalkers’ eight full productions.

CAST:
Alex Curtis proudly makes his Sleepwalkers debut with Zombie Town. Other notable Bay Area acting credits include Yellowjackets at Berkeley Rep, Twelfth Night at Marin Shakespeare, and improvised productions with Un-Scripted Theater.

Damian Lanahan-Kalish is a founding member of Sleepwalkers Theatre. He has been working as an actor in Bay Area Theatre steadily for the past five years since returning from New York where he studied at New Actors Workshop.

Ariane Owens is a Sleepwalkers company member. She has performed on both coasts, the RedCat and the National Theatre of Paris. She is a graduate of CalArts and The New Actors Workshop.

Drew Lanning will someday die on stage in a Sleepwalkers Theatre production, hopefully later rather than sooner. He has probably had more fun doing this production than all past Sleepwalkers productions combined.

Ian Riley is the Managing Director of Sleepwalkers Theatre and Zombie Town represents his eighth production with the company. He has also worked with Boxcar Theatre, Seattle’s Implied Violence, Shakespeare Santa Cruz’s Shakes-to-Go and Marin Shakespeare.

LIGHTING DESIGN: Ty McKenzie has been lighting San Francisco venues for over 14 years. Working with Sleepwalkers is one of her favorite gigs. This one in particular. Zombies. C’mon.

SET DESIGN: Ariane Owens is the same Ariane Owens listed above. Nothing about her has changed in the past few seconds since you read about her.

COSTUME DESIGN: Sarah Roland is a local costumer, stylist and photographer. she is currently studying apparel design at the College of Alameda. This is her second Sleepwalkers production.

FIDDLE: Emily Haltom is part of three local bands: I Can Dress Myself, todayokay, and Street Sirens.

ZOMBIE MUSEUM CURATOR: Hillary Frederich has developed a comprehensive emergency defense plan in anticipation of the zombocalypse and highly recommends you do the same.
